About Photo Safari Company
Photography-First African Safaris - Rooted in Experience, Driven by Purpose
Who We Are
We’re Nick and Eric - lifelong friends, safari guides, and wildlife photographers born and raised in the wild heart of Zimbabwe.
Our story begins not in a boardroom, but in the bush.
From tracking elephants barefoot as kids to capturing golden-hour shots of lions on film, our love for Africa runs deep - and it led us to build Photo Safari Company: a place where photography, conservation, and personal connection come together.
With over 20 years of combined experience in guiding and wildlife photography, we craft safaris that aren't about ticking boxes. They're about slowing down, watching the light, waiting for the moment, and helping others see Africa through a more intentional lens.

What We Stand For
We believe great safaris should be:
-
Built around photography, not just luxury
-
Led by passionate, experienced people, not travel agents
-
Small and personal, never crowded (max 10 guests)
-
Rooted in conservation, not just carbon offsets
-
Tailored to you, not mass-market templates
From your first email to the final sunset, we’re here to guide you - as photographers, storytellers, and fellow travelers.
Our Mission

Immersive,
conservation driven photo safaris.
To help people connect with Africa’s wild places through photography-first safaris that are personal, ethical, and unforgettable - while protecting the ecosystems and communities we love.
Why Travel With Us?
Photography gives us the power to tell stories, and stories can inspire change.
That’s why a portion of every safari supports frontline conservation efforts across Southern Africa, including:
-
Akashinga – Women-led anti-poaching units
-
Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust
-
Local guides, field staff, and community-led tourism projects
We also build conservation education into every trip, helping guests understand not just what they see, but why it matters.
Every photograph taken with care is a step toward preserving what makes Africa extraordinary.

Our Commitment to Conservation
The Heart of What We Do
At the core of everything we do is a belief that a safari should be more than a holiday - it should be a creative journey, a personal awakening, and a positive force for the places and people you encounter.
We don’t chase sightings.
We create space - to slow down, to observe with intention, and to connect deeply with the landscape, the wildlife, and the moment.
Our safaris are designed to:
-
Give photographers of all levels the time and support to grow
-
Offer real insights into animal behaviour, light, and composition
-
Foster authentic connections with local people, not just pass-through tourism
-
Immerse guests in Africa’s story - its beauty, complexity, and resilience
We walk away not just with powerful images, but with new skills, lasting memories, and a sense that our presence made a positive impact.
Because a truly meaningful photograph is never just about what’s in the frame - it’s about what it took to get there, and what it leaves behind.
