Nick’s Story

PHOTOGRAPHY IS MY PASSION AND A WAY OF LIFE.

Born in Zimbabwe in the early ’80s, Nick grew up tracking wildlife, building bush shelters, and shooting with his mother’s AGFA 35mm film camera – which he still owns today.

That early connection with Africa’s landscapes and animals shaped his life’s work: capturing the wild through a deeply personal and technically precise lens.

After a professional detour in IT and carpentry, Nick found a way to bring together his love for nature, design, and detail. With years of global experience and a resume that includes wildlife, landscape, sports, dance, and fine art, Nick is a rare blend of technical mastery and soulful observation.

As Co-Founder of Photo Safari Company & Go Beyond Safaris, Nick leads safari planning and field operations, with a deep passion for camera systems, lighting, and guiding guests through the experience of capturing authentic wildlife moments.

He spends much of his time between Australia and Africa, but says, “I always feel most grounded when I’m back in the bush, hearing the rustle of elephants through mopane trees.”

A Glimpse Into Moments That Have Moved Me

This gallery is a collection of encounters that stopped me in my tracks, quiet exchanges, raw power, and fleeting beauty found only in the wild.

Each image tells a story.

Not just of the animals, but of the stillness, patience, and connection it took to be there, to witness, not interrupt.

These aren’t just photographs; they’re pieces of my heart, captured in the untamed wilds of Africa.
